Dr. Peter Hartman received his DVM from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and has a B.S. in Zoology from Southern Illinois University. Growing up in Illinois, he started practicing veterinary medicine at Gibson Veterinary Clinic in Gibson City, IL. He then became a relief veterinarian working at more than 60 different practices in the greater Chicagoland area for 5 years.

In 2006, Dr. Hartman opened Valley Lakes Veterinary Clinic in Round Lake, IL. He continues to practice small animal medicine and manage a Solo doctor practice with two full time employees and one three legged cat.
